Garden level. The 1909 addition. Cabinets are custom built. Counter is absolute black granite. 3/4" thick walls are tiled with a custom colored tile that matches the paint of the cabinets. Window not seen( on the right side of the kitchen). opens to a small 15 x 15 garden. We renovated this house from garden level to the 5th floor, building 3 or 4 mantles, two built-in shelving systems, refinished all the floors. Built a new dining room using wood that had been milled when this house was built in the 1860's., We stripped existing windows and doors and stained them to match the finish of the wood milled in the 1860s. When you walk into this room you really feel like it has always been the way it is now. A simple period piece that is comfortable and inviting.
